Mitsubishi HC1600 720p DLP Home Theater Projector I was looking for the best projector I could fined that would fit in my budget. I am over all very happy with my HC1600. The picture is really good, I do not see any RBE ( Rain Bow Effect ) although is does have screen door effect. But unless you are right up on it, you can t see it. My screen is 10 feet wide by 5.5 feet high and I view it from 15 to 18 feet away. From there, you can not see the screen door effect at all. It is very quiet, Blu-Ray looks fantastic, and playing Motor Storm from a cockpit view looks like you are really driving a car, and the zombies in Left 4 Dead are life size. Puts a hole new meaning to "Head Shot" if you are a gamer like me. For my hard earned dollars, this was the best choice for me. I give it 4 stars only because of the screen door effect. But again, for the money you save, you can't tell the difference between this one for under $1000 and the 1080p that start at $3k with out it being side by side. With its HDMI hook up, you get the best visual out put possible. If you are looking to build your home theater and have a modest budget, this is the projector for you.

| Much Promise, But A Very Poor PayoffI'm using Vista Ultimate, have lots of ram, an Epson 3800 and have experienced many "issues" with my Color Munki Photo. The problems started the first day I plugged it in over three months ago. The unit has been replaced by the manufacturer without avail. There are serious conflicts with Vista color correction (Microsoft has culpability here too), but it's advertised to work with Vista OS yet I've yet to get good color corrections.
Support by X-Rite swings between helpful through downright condescending. I previously used a Spyder with few problems. I'm no color expert but I do understand the basics of color workflow. The feeling that I get from support is that the problems are all external to the Color Munki. I was told that my monitor was too bright (it's a medium bright, 325 cd/m2, wide gamut LCD monitor), Microsoft, Adobe etc. Most offensive of all, X-Rite keeps trying to cross sell me on training!!! Why would I give them one additional cent?
This product simply IS NOT READY for prime time. I'm sorry that I didn't return it when the support specialist told me that my problem would be fixed in a software release. Not to blame support entirely, the saying goes something like... "the fish stinks from the head"... obviously, the marketing people here got WAY ahead of engineering with the Color Munki.

Extremely disappointedWhen I received this projector, the first thing that caught my attention was the box. From the writing on it, I could tell it was a returned product. There was a message saying that a problem was solved. Anyways, once I set up the projector and turned it on, it took a long time to initialize. Then the display light indicated that there was a problem with the lamp. I called Epson to troubleshoot and it was indeed a bad lamp.
I needed this project urgently for a presentation, and I would never have expected to receive a damaged product. If I buy a brand new projector, I expect it to have a new lamp as well as everything else.
Epson is shipping me a new bulb, and I hope that solves the problem.
