Why?
After seeing the move I fell in love with the Twilight story. I got all four books four Christmas, I could put the first three down, I was done reading them in a week. Then I got to Braking Dawn, what a disappointment .I still haven't finished it. I keep skipping pages because it got so boring .I what a redo of the ending. After the wedding why cant Jacob kidnapped Bella or something? After the kiss she shared with him I was hoping there would be more to their story! This book almost runs the whole Twilight series for me! And that imprint thing is just weird and almost gross. If the movie series continue I hope for a different ending. Read more...

Edward Cullen
These books are an addiction. I couldn't put them down. Once you start reading you become so involved with book that you actually feel you are living every moment with Edward Cullen and his family. Too bad there's only 4 books to the series they were worth every minute of my reading time. Read more...

I expected a whole lot more.
The Tales of Beedle The Bard was okay, but I expected a whole lot more from Rowling. It seems that after the popularity of the series took off between books 4 and 5 that she got lazy. Knowing that anything with the words Harry and Potter on the cover would sell, it feels like she stopped trying. I bought this book for completion's sake, and I'm glad I did, but I doubt I'd recommend it to any but the most ardent fans of Harry Potter. Read more...

hmm
totally sucked in by the series. though it is very predictable, it reads like every girl's dream. thus the money spending to read the books(more like skim the unnecessary blocks of text, to the main points). i've read 3 in 2 days so not quite sure what plot lies in which book, but her ideas are definitely NOT original. plot spoiler...but werewolves and vampires being foes? definitely not new. she is no jk rowling, but she knows how to play to the audience's love for dramatic romance and fantasy.

Yes, Gladwell Has Done it Again
I can always count on Malcolm Gladwell's ability to see things from a new perspective.
Outliers will have you rethinking the concept of success.
Gladwell starts with exploring the case of the Pennsylvania town where no one dies of a heart attack before the age of 55. The mystery of the townsfolk's longevity and relative good health has a surprising origin (I won't divulge).
This lays the foundation for the argument that successful outcome may owe itself more to mundane circumstances rather than the innate abilities and intelligence we've come to assume are the only elements.
If you are interested in the subject of success, give Mr. Gladwell's treatment of the subject some consideration before you run off to your next success-guru session.

Really deceptive!
There are some truth regarding the Lord Jesus Christ, but most of it is deceving! I would not recommend this book for a young believer nor for anyone else who is not a strong believer in the Bible, for that matter, for it has so much untruth intraspersed with some truth that it would do more harm than good if the reader is not well read and informed with the Bible. I really can't see how a true believer of Christ could recommend this book and to compare it to John Bunyan's Pitgrim's Progress is really preposterous! That person could not possibly know his Bible!

Loved it
I am not a big history fan, but Meacham's story of Jackson and the world around him was really interesting. If you need a present for anybody who loves presidential history, you can't do any better than this. I didn't know very much about Jackson's era, and now want to find out even more. Read more...
