Good product, good pricelike a previous reviewer, I didn't want the U3 program/features (have had too many issues with it being flaky in the past). I have had good luck with a previous small (1GB) Kingston USB stick I got as a freebie from a conference and decided to give the larger one a shot. So far, so good. Performs well, good price, nice amount of storage (no need for me to carry separate USB sticks anymore, yay!), and no bloatware to have to use it.
One thing though - the packaging says that it doesn't work with Vista SpeedBoost, but every time I plug it into a Vista machine I am presented with the option of using it to speed up my system. Haven't click on that option yet, but will update my review later if I try it and find that it does/doesn't work.
The only negative I've found so far is that it doesn't have a lanyard included...but I was able to salvage a lanyard from an old USB stick to use on this one so no big deal. But would have been very nice to have that included. If you use a thin lanyard, you can still put the "cap" on the non-port side and not have it interfere.

It's a Hit With My 14 Year OldThe IPod Touch is the only thing my son wanted for Christmas. I ordered one from Amazon because it was the best price I could find and I know they deliver quickly.
We went on a road trip right after Christmas and the IPod was a fun gadget that kept my son entertained for many hours. Even after returning home, he carries it with him almost everywhere.
We bought the 2nd generation 16 GB because it was a good price and had enough memory to provide for my son's expectations as well as being able to add on more games, videos, and music.

Fun, but not for longThe iPOD touch is fun and has so many cool features and free apps, I am glad I got it as a gift. Oh, and the best part is the quality of the picture is awesome. I love watching videos on this thing. The screen is small. But, we all know that. I can't knock apple for that, it isn't like they are hiding that fact. It works with encrypted wireless networks.I don't know where other reviewers are getting that complaint from. Overall I like my iPOD because of all it can do. However, it has some limitations which make the price ridiculous.
1. The battery power lasts 2-3 hours when using games and many apps. (Lasts long time with music though)
2. The sound is inferior to other iPODS. I have a Nano for music.
3. 8GB for the price is ridiculous. Because you are left with 7 with all the programs it comes with.
4. You have to charge this thing so often, I fear the battery will be destroyed. I am not expecting this thing to last a year at this rate.
5. This goes for all iPODs. I hate the limitations apple puts on music so you can't transfer between Mac/PC and to other MP3's. For what they charge, Apple products should be more useful, not less useful, than other MP3's
Like I said, I am excited because this was a gift. But, I would not buy it with my own money. If you do decide on a touch, it isn't a bad purchase. But splurge on the 16GB at least, it may even be worth it at that price. I admit I have an issue with iPOD's because of apple's policies limiting it's use. But, both of mine were gifts, so who am I to complain too much.

K.I.S = Keep It SimpleThe IPOD classic is a great device. I currently have the 80G Ipod I purchased almost 2 years ago. Everyone around me is getting the IPOD touch and claiming how HOTT it is. I will agree that it is very savvy but I like to keep it simple. I don't use my IPOD to go online, look at photos or play games with. If I were 16, that might be ok but I am a little out of that range. I picked up the 120G IPOD for music and occasional videos. If I am in the airport, I might want to look at a video to pass the time but mainly, I just listen to music. I like the fact that if I want to look at a video, I can especially on the 2.5 inch screen. (thus me not picking the Nano). It comes in two colors, silver or black. That depends on you, again, I am not a teenager so, a red or lime green device being pulled from my briefcase at work is not my idea of professional. Both colors are simple and all in all, the classic does the job. I listen to music and all I need is a device that allows me to do just that. If you are trying to decide if you should get a 120G classic, I say go for it if you want straight music. But if you want bells & whistles, the touch might be more your speed. YMMV...NEOSOUL06
