Great GPS!I make my living in field service and it's not professional or practical to ask customers how to get to their address. You'd be surprised at the number of people don't know the roads in their area! GPS is the way to go! I've been using my Nuvi 350 for a year and have taken it from California to Florida. If you're in the market for a GPS, look for something that will SPEAK the directions. This keeps you from having to look or touch the GPS while driving. This is especially important in congested areas or places that you are not familiar with. My Garmin Nuvi 350 is now a discontinued product, but I've been pleased with Garmin's support. I just updated the maps and software, which is another big plus. (Streets change, software improvements happen.) If something were to happen and I needed another GPS, I wouldn't hesitate to buy another Garmin. Keep in mind, you get what you pay for. The cheap GPS units at the $100 mark may not live up to your expecations. Find out what YOU want from the GPS and then find one that fits your expectation.
By the way, the screen on the nuvi 350 is 3.5 inches which is just right. Don't be fooled that bigger is better. Keep in mind, this sits in your field of view. Too much information displayed at one time is a distraction and can be confusing.

Great GPSI bought this GPS for my Dad over a year ago. My Dad loves it!! It is always on point. My Dad also tried "tricking" it by going different ways, and it took him right back to his original course. My Dad and Step-Mom live in Washington and travel all over to California, New Mexico,Utah, Vegas, and Tahoe, and they never get lost or lose a signal. They type in their destination and they are on their way. They also like how there are alot of different "points of intrest" they find while traveling. They love their "Sally" (that's what they call it).

My first GarminGarmin nüvi 265WT 4.3-Inch Widescreen Bluetooth Portable GPS NavigatorI purchased my first GPS the Garmin 265 WT on a recommendation from one of my tech friends who works(like myself) for the Disaster Relief Team. We respond to all disasters in the US and properties, west of the Miss River. Many times we are sent to areas without readable addresses, however with help from of our GPS tools, we are able to almost pinpoint our location where people need assistance. My friend has owned his Garmin for almost a year, and now he wants to upgrade to my 265 WT. I am pleased with all its features, and would recommend it to anyone traveling anywhere. The shipment was fast, even though I was in another state, not my home. The only drawback was it did not come with a instruction book and I could not use all the features available. A computer was not always available to download the information, however we just kept working with the basic instructions and were able to do what had to be done. I would purchase from Amazon, again, as a matter of fact have allready done so. Thanks for the great service, and good price.I had been shopping for almost a year before purchasing from Amazon.

Good - but confusing setupI got the OneXL for my wife for Christmas. We used it for part of our family visit traveling. It worked well until I tried to update it to the latest US map. As many others here have pointed out, when you update the map to the latest version, the OneXL gives you a map of Guam, but not the new US map. I have spent several hours trying to get this fixed, and I finally manged to do so. It took updating the software on the GPS, in addition to updating the map.
So, be careful when you get this unit. If you plan on updating it, update the software on the unit before the maps, so you don't have any down time. If TomTom were smart, their update program would realize that the latest map also needed newer software.
As to the rest of how it works, it's okay. Like most GPS it can find some strange routes. Still, it does seem to do its job. As time goes on, I may come back and update this review for overall usage.
