| I'll Never Go Back to Liquid Foundation AgainI have what i've always considered "problem skin". It's on the oily side with largish pores, prone to breakouts (even though I'm in my late 20s), and has a tendency to look greasy under makeup. For years I've worn liquid foundation to cover up these imperfections and to even out my skin tone. I never thought that a powder based foundation could work for me because they typically don't provide enough coverage.
I have a few friends that rave about bareMinerals, so when a store near me recently offered a free two week trial kit, I decided to try it. I was shocked at how well the bareMinerals foundation worked. It offers adjustable coverage, so I can wear more foundation when I need it, less when I don't. The makeup goes on smooth, is super easy to blend, and I never end up with a telltale foundation line on my chin. My skin doesn't get greasy under it, and it's all still there at the end of the day. All in all it seems like the perfect foundation!
This starter kit is a good deal if you're just starting out with bareMinerals. It has two foundation colors, so you can decide which one is right for you. It also has some All Over Warmth (it's basically a cross between blush and bronzer) and Mineral Veil (which is a great finishing powder) to finish your look. But the best thing about this kit is that it includes three brushes, a kabuki brush for full coverage foundation application, an all over face brush which works for lighter foundation application or mineral veil application, and a concealer brush for targeting problem areas and blemishes. The key to great bareMinerals application is these brushes, and the kit provides everything you need to get a flawless face every time.

| Great finisherI have been using various Bare Escentuals products for a couple of years now. Currently I only use the Mineral Veil and Blushes. I previously used the powder foundation, but find that my skin is currently too dry. Whenever I try using the foundation as well I find myself looking too powdery, even though I have followed the instructional video's steps to apply correctly. However, even without using the full suite of makeup, I still really enjoy this Mineral Veil. It is extremely light and gives my face a nice matte finish without looking overly powdered or cakey. I also find that the color blends beautifully with my fair skin.
My only complaint with this product is about the packaging, not the powder itself. Like many other loose powders I wish it had a way to "lock" the container so that the powder would not spill through the holes when you do not want it to. Because of this I find it imperfect for my frequent business travel. When it is traveling in my bag I often find that powder ends up on top of the inner layer resulting in me often getting more powder on my brush than I would desire. This often results in either a less natural look or wasted powder. Overall though this is quite a minor nit as it is a problem that has happened with all the loose powders I have purchased, not just the Bare Escentuals brand.
Overall I highly recommend this product though, even if you plan to use it with another brand of foundation.

I was skeptical, but it works!I really didn't think this thing was going to work...but when you have acne most of your life you will try anything at any cost. I have found that by using the Zeno in conjunction with Proactive Solution I have cleared my face significantly of acne. The Zeno product does take some time to use, as you have to hold it to the pimple for approx. two minutes. It causes redness on that area for about 10 minutes and is only mildly uncomfortable when you first put it on the pimple. After a day or two the acne is gone. It's weird, but it works! I only gave it 4 stars because of the two minutes you have to hold it on your face, the redness, and the mild discomfort from the heat. Other than that, it's quite easy to use and requires no clean up. You just have to charge it periodically and after 90 uses you have to replace the tip. Replacing it is so simple. You literally just pull the old one off and snap the new one on. This is a VERY simple device and it does the trick. It does not work very well at all on cystic ance, but for basic zits or pimples it takes care of them in a day or two.
