Mistaken Identity

This book is truly amazing! It shows how God works in miraculously ways. Yes, it was tragic for both families but God helped them through their hard times. I can never even imagine what they went through and I'm not pretending to but the way the two families wrote this book is very elegant and well written. I'm glad that they decided to write this book and show how God works. Also, I hope and pray that this book is used as a healing tool not only for themselves but for other families who have lost loved ones.

book

I am normally not a big reader, but I purchased this book. This was a book that I could not put down. A great inspirational book, of how two Christian families deal with death of a child, their personal thoughts, of this great terrifying experience in their lives. I would highly recommend this book.

Wonderful Audio version opportunity!!!

I heard about this book & was interested in it. However, I have very limited time to read, but love audio books for when I'm driving, etc. When I saw the over $40.00 unabridged CD version available from another vendor but fulfilled by Amazon for a total price of about $4.00, I jumped on it. WOW! The reader is fantastic, & the story, just like everyone says, is riveting. I didn't want to do anything else until I finished it. Highly recommended!

Reviewing the reviewer

I haven't yet read the book, though I do know the story. It's a compelling story in and of itself though the retelling of it by the parties involved may not be the most intriguing.

Having said that, what I am doing here is reviewing a reviewer; specifically Maudeen Wachsmith "BeachReader who said: "Just an aside, it will be really interesting to see how many "not helpful" votes I get for this review from people who just don't agree with me because I dared write a negative review on this book, because I dared be anti-Christian when I am truly just trying to be helpful and give people another version in order for them to make an educated decision before spending their hard-earned money on a book."

Contrary to belief that every Christian out there is bent on persecuting anyone who doesn't agree with them, I think you will find that belief largely self-delusional. Can anyone say, "Persecution Complex"?

I for one, found your review helpful and yes, I'm a Christian. So, I'm marking "Helpful." I happen to agree that some--though certainly not all--Christians aren't always transparent in sharing their very real emotions about life changing events and in those cases, I probably wouldn't want to read their story either. Or at least pay more than $5.00 to read it.

So there you have it.

The Story Behind the Headlines We All Read

An unbelieveable story, things like this just don't happen. Great people who suffered through trauma and dealt so graciously with it. I found the numerous facts a little tiring, but the story is pretty incredible. What nice families had to hurt. And how gracious their Christian community that supported them. A great story of forgiveness, coping healthfully and love.
